shabnam …

partav-e-khur se hai shabnam ko fanaa ki taaleem
maiN bhee hooN ik inaayat ki nazar hone tak

[partav-e-khur = sun’s reflection, shabnam = dew, fanaa = mortality, inaayat = favour ]

GHam-e-hastee ka Asad kis-se ho juz-marg ilaaz
shammaa har rang meiN jaltee hai sahar hone tak

[ hastee = life/existence, juz-marg = till death, sahar = morning ]

masti ka aalam …

hum deevaano ki kya hasti,
hai aaj yaahan kal wahaan chale,
masti ka aalam saath chale,
hum dhool udaate jahaan chale.

kis aor chale yeh mat poochho,
chalana hai bas isliye chale,
jag ko apanaa kucch diye chale,
jag se uska kuchh liye chale.

dhoop ka tukDa

jaaDe ke dino me
dhoop ka ek tukDa
aataa hai mere aangan me
naTkhaT bacche sa.
ek kone se
doosre kone tak,
reshami vastra sa
sarakataa hua,
dauDataa hai.
khijataa hai.
sukhaane ko daali gayi
cheezon ko sarkaate,
THanD se THiTHuri
deh ko garamaate,
subah se shaam tak
thakaa daalata hai
wah naTkhaT
dhoop ka tukDa

A promise to myself

I’m not doing justice to the idea of this blog. I dont find time enough. So from today onwards, I’ll post anything on earth, and a relevant verse by Ghalib. I’ve enough faith that Ghalib has something in store, for every situation.

Something for the above resolution:
Humko maloom hai jannat ki haqeeqat lekin,
Dil ke khush rakhane ko Ghalib yeh khayaal achchha hai.
